You can import job families and subfamilies from an Excel file.
To import job families from an Excel file
Use the Excel file template created by the “Export to Excel” option to import the job families. For further information, refer to the article, “Exporting the Job Families to Excel.”
1. On the Advanced Tools menu, click Admin Tools.
This displays the Admin Tools tab.
2. Click the Jobs Administration node in the left pane and select Job Families.
This displays the families and subfamilies in the system.
3. On the Import menu, click Import From Excel.
This displays the following screen:
4. Click Upload.
This displays the following dialog box:
5. Click Add.
6. Click Choose File.
7. Select the Excel file which you want to import.
8. Click Ok.
This displays the following dialog box:
9. Select the Replace All Existing Job Families in the System that are not referenced by Job
Descriptions check box if you want to replace the existing job families that don't have any job
descriptions.
10. Click Import.
This displays the results in the message:
11. Click Yes.
This displays the imported results in detail:
12. Click Close Form.
