Now, we have looked at the data flow between MarkeyPay Core and MarketPay Jobs sites.
We are now going to look at updating your choice lists. This step is essential to update the required choice list from your Marketpay Core site. To do this, you'll navigate to the Market Pricing icon located on the right side of your home page. Double-click to open it.
From the toolbar, select MarketPay and select Update Market Pricing Choice Lists.
Select the appropriate choice lists and click on Update Lists.
The choice lists are found in Admin Tools. If I close the windows, go back to my homepage and go to Admin Tools, Data Management, and System Choice Lists.
You will see the choice lists listed MarketPricing_Currency, MarketPricing_Grade, MarketPricing_JobCodeKey, MarketPricing_JobFamily, MarketPricing_JobLevel, and MarketPricing_Structure.
The next step you want to complete is to import jobs into MarketPay Jobs that already exist in MarketPay Core.
If you do not currently have jobs in MarketPay Core, this step can be skipped.
From the MarketPay Jobs homepage, you'll navigate to the Job Management icon which is located on the left navigation menu.
On the top-right of the screen, you will select Import and Import Jobs for MarketPay.
In the Import Job Record from MarketPay dialog box, you will see a list on the left of current jobs that exist in MarketPay.
You have the option to import all new jobs which will import jobs that have been created since your last import or you can import the selected jobs which will only import jobs that you select by adding jobs to the right side of the screen.
If this is your first import, you can simply select Import All New Job Records.
Once you make your selection, just click on the Add button to import the selected job records and complete your import to MarketPay Jobs.
You want to update market pricing for existing jobs in MarketPay Job throughout the year. You have the option to do this individually or all job descriptions at the same time. First, let's look at how to do this individually.
You'll need to be in Job Management to see all of your job descriptions. Open the job description that you would like to update.
Using the tabs on the left, navigate to the MarketPay tab.
Click on the Update Market Pricing button to update the market pricing for this job.
Once it is complete, close the box.
Your record has been updated with the most recent pricing.
Now, let's look at how to update all of your job descriptions together at the same time. Starting at your home page, click on the Market Pricing icon on the right side of the screen.
From the toolbar, click on the MarketPay button, choose the Update Market Pricing for Job Records.
Click on Update Job Records.
When it is done, close the form and return to the main screen.
Creating jobs in MarketPay Jobs is very easy. We now want to take a look at sending the existing job descriptions and creating new job descriptions in MarketPay Jobs and sending them to MarketPay Core.
Sending an existing job to MarketPay Core is as easy as navigating to the Job Management icon.
Click the Export menu, select Create Initial Jobs in MarketPay.
If the job description doesn't currently exist in Marketpay Core, the job will be created for you.
While creating a new job description, the job description is sent to Marketpay Core on the final approval step of the workflow. If you prefer that the job description be sent to MarketPay prior to the final approval step, contact the JDXpert support team to adjust the step in the workflow profile.
We can now create our new job description in MarketPay Jobs by navigating to the homepage to the right side of the screen and clicking on Add Job.
For this example, we are going to select a base job.
Complete the form, and then select the appropriate workflow.
Click Start Workflow.
Once all participants are added and approved their step, it will reach the final approval step of the workflow.
On the Finalize Workflow step, they will have the option to Update MarketPay.
If this box is checked, the job description will be sent to MarketPay once they click on the Finalize Workflow button at the bottom of the screen.
Your MarketPay integration comes with many other benefits on the MarketPay Core site as well. Let's look at a few. You have the option to see the full MarketPay Jobs print preview in MarketPay Core.
From your home page, click Market Price a Job (New).
Once it loads, double click on a job.
On the top-right, you will see an option for About This Job.
Select the drop-down and choose View Job Description which will allow you to view the full job description with details created for MarketPay Jobs.
In this view, you'll notice, you also have the option to Edit Job Description and Download it.
Another benefit is that you have the ability to work on your MarketPay Job site right from your MarketPay Core site.
On the left navigation menu, you will notice a JDXpert logo that you can select.
If you click on the JDXpert logo, it will open up your MarketPay Job site within your MarketPay Core site where you have the full functionality to work on your job descriptions.
