You can setup a Side-By-Side view with rows for individual bullet list rows. This is useful in comparing long bullet lists, (for example, Essential Functions) by having each bullet list row on a new line in the Side-By-Side view.
To add bullet list rows to a side-by-side view
1. Navigate to the Job Management tab.
2. Select the jobs which you wish to view side-by-side.
3. Right-click the selected jobs and click View Side-by-Side.
This displays the following screen:
4. Click Edit Profiles.
This displays the following screen:
5. Select a profile and click Edit.
This displays the Edit Profile screen:
6. Click the Data Elements tab.
7. Click Add.
This displays the Add Element to Career Ladder screen:
8. Enter the name in the Enter Name box.
9. Select SimpleProperty in the Type of Side-By-Side Element list.
10. Select Taggedtext in the Select Binding Type list.
11. Enter the caption in the Caption in Tagged Text format box.
12. Click Edit Expression to generate the tagged text for this field.
This displays the Edit Job Description Tagged Text screen:
For generating the tagged text, refer to the article, “Add a Bullet List Row Token.”
13. Click Save and Close.
This populates the tagged text in the Tagged Text Expression list.
14. Click Save and Close.
This displays the new item in the list as shown:
15. Click Save and Close.
16. Click x to close the Side-By-Side screen.
