You can use the import profiles while importing data from Excel files. These profiles retrieve the data based on the SQL query and other parameters set in the profile.
Import Profile Overview
You can create or update the existing import profiles using the import wizard. These profiles use the following parameters to import data from Excel:
1. Excel file name
- Excel file name is saved with the profile. Other Excel files can be imported using the same profile as long as they have the same worksheet name and data columns.
2. Worksheet settings
- Worksheet name
- Row settings
- Formula column (Optional)
3. Master template
- Determines available fields and other settings
4. Job import options
- Matching field setting
- Option to create new job descriptions when no match is found
- Archive setting
- Update options regarding jobs in the workflow
5. Excel column to database field mapping
- Includes the ability to create user-defined fields
- Custom script code (optional)
These profiles can later be used while importing jobs using the import wizard, import dashboard, or remote (automated) task.
To open the Import Job Description Data from Excel wizard
1. Navigate to the Job Management tab.
2. Click Import, and then click Import Job Data from Excel.

To create a new import profile

1. Click Next.
This displays the next page of the wizard:
2. Upload an Excel file or select an uploaded file.
This displays the following screen:
3. Click Create New Profile.
4. Select the new profile in the Select Import Profile list.
5. Click Next.
6. Follow all steps in the wizard and apply settings to each page until the last page.
7. Click Save Profile.
This saves the settings and parameters applied in the wizard pages to the profile. This profile can later be used at other places in the system for importing data.
To use the import profile in the Import Dashboard
1. Navigate to the Import Dashboard tab.
2. Select the appropriate option in the Select Action list.
3. Select the new profile in the Profile Name list.
