You can view and edit jobs (or archived versions) side-by-side and also highlight the differences or hide identical sections.
To view jobs side-by-side
1. Navigate to the Job Management or Job Library tab.
2. Select two or more jobs in the grid, right-click, and select View Side-By-Side.
This displays the Side-By-Side View screen:

a. From Job Management, select a job in the grid and click any of the following tabs in the right pane.
- Job Family Tab – To view jobs in the same job family side-by-side
- Related Jobs Tab – To view related jobs side-by-side
- Similar Jobs Tab – To view similar jobs side-by-side
b. Click Side-By-Side in the right pane.
3. Select the Highlight Differences check box to highlight the differences between the two jobs.
This displays the screen as follows:
4. Select the Hide Identical Rows check box to hide the identical rows between the two jobs.
5. Select another profile in the Side-by-Side Profile list.
This displays the jobs as follows:
6. Click Export as Excel to export the jobs in an Excel file.
This displays the following message:
7. Click Download File(s) to download the file.
8. Open the Excel file to view its details.
This functionality is also available in the Career Ladders, Job Matrix, and My Jobs tabs.

To edit the jobs in the “Side-by-Side View”
You can edit the blocks on this screen.
1. Double-click a block as shown:
This displays the block in the edit mode.
2. Update the content in the block.
3. Click Save and Close.
This displays the updated content as shown:
The locked jobs are not available for editing.
The lock icon and grayed-out fields indicate this job is locked for editing. The job may be in an active workflow or have other restrictions.
To set the maximum limit of jobs displayed in the “Side-by-Side View” screen
1. Click this icon and select Edit Business Rules.
This displays the following screen:
2. Click the Side-by-Side Settings node.
3. Set the desired value in the MaxSidebySideJobs property as shown:
You can view a maximum of 500 jobs in the side-by-side view efficiently. Exceeding this limit may cause a system slowdown. This feature is for comparing job descriptions within the same job family, sub-family, or other relevant categories.
4. Click Save and Close.
