Application cycle is the period for which the employee acknowledgment (of their job description) is sought. The best practice is to set up a single, continuous application cycle. This eliminates the need to configure new cycles and application types annually.
To add an application cycle
- Navigate to the Admin Tools tab.
- Expand the JDXApps Administration node, and click Edit Application Cycles.
This displays the following screen:
- Click Add.
This displays the Create New Application Cycle screen:
- Enter the cycle name in the Name box.
- Enter the cycle description in the Description box.
- Select the following in the Select Date Range section:
- Continuous – To have this cycle for continuous time period (ongoing).

Annual (Select Year) – To have this cycle for a specific year.
- Select the year from the dropdown list.

Custom Date Range – To have this cycle for a specific time period.
- Select the From and To dates:
- Click Save and Close.
Employees can acknowledge job descriptions beyond the specified 'To Date' (end date).
This adds the application cycle as shown:
