One of the benefits of loading your job data into JDX is having the ability to view it in a number of ways. Our Job Matrix allows you to group your job data in a grid format that works for your organization.
In the example here (and the default view), job family is broken down into individual tabs, the sub families are the sub tabs, and on the left column you'll see that a listing of pay grades. Your system is customizable so that this column is editable to be any other field that you would like. For example, you could use Department Division, Business Unit, Job Level, etc. You will notice the numbers next to each job description name as well as the color differential: the red values represent jobs that do not have any employees attached to them; those in the the darker color represent jobs that do have incumbent employees, indicating the number of employees attached to that particular job.
One of the helpful features here is the ability to right-click and select jobs in the cell.
You can view job Side-by-Side directly from that right-click menu.
When you view them in side-by-side, you can highlight differences and hide identical rows. If there are more than two jobs in a particular cell, you could select which one you wish to include. You can also select jobs from different job families. For example, if we choose Nursing, you will see all nursing jobs added to this Side-by-Side selection. By referring to icons found in the Action column, you can Preview the job, Edit the job directly which can be restricted based on the user’s role, and the ability to see the number of employees attached to these jobs.
