The next enhancement that we will look at is the Action column. This replaces some of the toolbar buttons that you would normally see in V1, giving you a cleaner workspace with more landscape to work on your job descriptions. You will notice this new V2 feature as the very first column of the job description grid. To the left of every job description in the grid, this column will contain Action icons to apply to your job descriptions.
The first icon which is a pencil on paper is the Edit button. This will allow you to open the job description in the form view and make changes. The second icon is the Gear (wheel) which will give you access to the properties of the job description. This will allow you to change Primary Fields, Advanced Properties, Job Flags, Job Code Overrides, User-defined Filters, and Occupation Codes. The third icon is the Heart. This icon will allow you to set the selected job description as a favorite. After marking job descriptions as favorites, you have the ability to use the search filter from My Favorites located in the Filter box at the top of the screen to narrow down the number of job descriptions in the grid to only show job descriptions marked as your favorites. The last icon is the ellipsis or 3 dots. Once you click on the ellipsis, JDX will display a drop-down menu that will give you the options to copy, rename, or open the job posting for the selected job.
