Let’s now look at the new Message Center, Tasks, the location of your build info and Quick Tips. To better visualize an open Task, and the visibility of a new message in the Mail Center, we will impersonate a manager and review his dashboard. The indicator below shows the impersonation details.
You will see that there is a new mail message by the red dot on the envelope icon. There is also a new task (if you look here in the center of the page, you will see a red dot next to Tasks). Here you can see that there is a job description review which is showing up here underneath the search box.
You will see your mail by clicking on the envelope icon. You can see here there's a new mail message as indicated by the bold font.
If you want to see unread emails only, you simply check Unread only and if you want to see My Sent Items you can just filter at the radio button here. Going back out to the Home Page dashboard, to see your tasks, click on View My Tasks. The default filter--All Tasks--will list all tasks under the search bar. For now, there's just this one job description review. To filter on a specific area, click the drop-down menu next to All Tasks and you have the option to choose:
- Job Description Reviews
- Acknowledgements
- Performance Reviews
Clicking on the one job description review under My Tasks will bring us right into the workflow for the revision copy of the job description and from here you can do your part of the workflow and proceed.
To return to my role as an Admin, I click Impersonate from the home screen once again and and choose Proceed as Yourself.
Finishing up on the left panel, you can locate your JDX build information, your JDX version, the platform you're on, and the date of your current build. You can also see the Quick Tips tab. The functionality to edit or add a quick tip is unchanged in JDX V1.
