You have multiple other ways to import job data into JDX from Job Management. By going to the import link on top here.
You can import jobs in Excel. We going more of that in the import functionality but you can do not only in the Import Dashboard, but you could do it right here in Job Management.
If you want to copy files from one environment, say a staging environment to the production environment, you can import jobs from XML files from the other environment.
If you are a MarketPay customer, you can import market pricing and jobs coming from MarketPay.
Lastly, you can import jobs in the content library. This is a great feature if you don't have job descriptions in mind and you want to really start from scratch. The user's functionality, click on Import Jobs in the Content Library.
It will bring it this screen. Here you could search for the job you are looking for. So, let's pick Accountant here and you will see a number of accounting jobs you can choose from.
You could also Filter by Job Family if you wish to do that. Once here, select the job you are looking for and you'll see that the basic summary of that job here.
You can go ahead and view the source.
This will show you the profile of that job description.
If I like what I see, I can go ahead and Add Job Description to Download List and it will appear here on this side.
Going back to View Source.
I can also email this page to someone else so that I could download this job description to share with other people.
Once here, I'd like to edit this target job description.
I can go here and I could change the name of the job so I just called something else if I'd like. And I can also change the job family and function if I need to do that.
I can go ahead select many jobs as I like. So, if I want to go ahead add an Administrative Assistant, I can do that as well.
And once I'm ready, I can go ahead and import these jobs into my job library. All I need to do is start my import.
OK this pop-up window to confirm the import.
And once it's done I'll see a completion window.
Holding out of here going back into Job Management, I can see my Accounting job is here.
And if I want to go to my Administrative Assistant, I see that here as well.
You're not locked into everything that is in this job description once you bring over the job from the content library you can then open up the job to edit make whatever changes you need to make within that job description.
Click on the Edit button and make whatever changes are necessary.
