To import users into the system we need to add them to an Excel file and then use the Import Dashboard.
We have provided an Excel file for you as a template located below this video. (you can download the file by clicking HERE). If you open it up, we have two employees that we have added to this file. We need to add their Employee ID, Login Account, Employee Name, Last Name, First Name, Email and then whether or not this user is a Compensation Manager, JD Admin or HR Generalist. Use the TRUE and FALSE statements to designate what role this employee will play in the system.
Once you fill this out, save it, and then we will select Import Dashboard. Select Import Employees as the action and for Profile Name, select JDX Onboarding Users Import.xlsx and then click on Upload.
Click Browse, Add, Browse again and then select the file from your computer.
Click OK. Because this file already exists in the system, the text will be highlighted in red and will overwrite the existing file, which is the recommended behavior. Since we’ve added some new information in this file, we will to click on Import Checked Files and we will close the upload tool. Note that if the file possesses a different name or contains a date extension, the text will not be highlighted in red, as the file will be considered a new file to JDXpert.
We can either preview the import or run the import.
A preview works just like importing but it will not actually put the information into the system. Once the import is complete, click OK
then click on View Results.
If you scroll all the way to the right, you can then see the Messages and Errors to check to see whether this employee has been added to the system. You can see in this example that we have added an employee record for both users. You can also download this and save it to your hard drive as a report.
To see whether the new users have been added to the system, close out of results, close out of our import dashboard and then we'll go over to admin tools, employee administration, click on go and check to see if we have our new users added into the system.
