To update a field that contains a choice list or drop-down, simply click Edit Choice List while in the Express Editor.
A new screen will pop up with the display value and value for you to update.
The Display Value will be the value that displays on the front end or within the drop-down on the form view. If you would like to add a new display value, simply click add. The Value is what is coming from your HR system.
Enter in your new value.
Click Save and Close.
You can also move my values up and down as you would like for them to display in the choice list.
In addition to adding display values to your drop-down to a choice list from the choice list items tab, you can also upload Excel workbooks with your choice's values.
To do this simply click on the Excel workbook settings tab and select upload your Excel workbook.
If you would like to save your current set of choice list items from the previous tab as an Excel workbook, click on Save Current Choice List Values as an Excel Workbook.
If you would like to update your current Excel workbook select View/Download Selected Excel Workbook to download the workbook into Excel.
If you would like to update or upload a workbook simply do so by clicking Upload Excel Workbook.
If you would like to upload an Excel workbook, you must ensure the workbook is in a particular format in order for JDX to accept it. The first column must contain the display value of your choice list and the second must contain the value.
Once you have placed all of your display values and values into the workbook, be sure to save the workbook as the same name that is currently in JDXpert. By doing this, your new workbook will overwrite the data in your original workbook. When you are ready to import your Excel workbook, simply click Upload Excel Workbook > Browse > Choose File to upload your new Excel workbook.
Once you have added you can click OK and check the new file to be overwritten. You will notice that this is in red this is because the file already exists and you will be overwriting that file.
If it were black, it would be a brand-new file. Once you've made your selection, click Import Checked Files to update your Excel workbook. You may now close the upload tool.
