Now that we have completed the Settings and Styles tab, we move to the Access Flags tab.
Here you can update your security profiles and the flags for the particular field that you're working on. It is important that you step through each visible field on the form view and confirm that the security profiles are set to your organization's security level. To update your security profiles, click on the button to the right of the area that you would like to change. If you would like to update who can view the field, click on the button to the right of Viewable by. If you would like to update who can edit the field, click on the button to the right of Editable by.
In this example, we are going to update who can edit this field. To update the role that can edit this field simply click on the check box to the left of the role that you would like to edit the field.
In this example, we are going to add the compensation manager and HR generalist as editors of this field. Once you have completed your changes, simply Select and Close Form to save.
You can update the flags for your field here.
There are six flags available for each field.
Locked allows you to set a field to be locked (not editable) by anyone. Visible on Compare Jobs allows you to set a field to be visible in the archives. Visible on Side-by-Side allows you to set a field to be visible on the side-by-side view such as what you would see in Career Ladders, on the Job Matriix or when clicking the side-by-side button while viewing the job form view. Included in Print Version indicates whether this field will be visible on the print version of the job description.. Do not Print if Blank indicates that this field will not print on your print version if the field is left blank. Show Grid Lines in Print Version indicates that the grid lines will display in the print version if this is checked.
