Hey Everyone! Welcome back to another quick training video. We are going to continue to talk about our new tool called the Job Template Editor. As a reminder, this new tool is essentially a rebrand of the old Express Editor with some new updates and changes. So today we will show you how to add a new building block using the Job Template Editor.
So, let's get started. You will start by going to Job Management. As a refresher, the easiest way to access this new tool is by selecting the job, right-clicking on it, and selecting the Job Template Editor.
With this new layout, with the newest changes, this tool is that you can now add a building block from the tab page located right here.
You have a few options for how to create this building block. In this drop-down menu, you can choose from a check box, combo box, text box, or bulleted list.
That's what we are going to create today.
And on the right-hand side. you can give this a name, will call this Textbox 1. You can take declare there is a binding right here. Or do it later when you are editing your settings for this building block. But if you want to do it now, you can select this check box called Has Binding. On the right-hand side, the drop-down list appears. You have to choose from the multiple options here. This is coming from either your hard-coded or pre-configured options such as tagged text and all other options listed below.
If this building block is not binded, then you cannot save the data to it.
If you need more assistance or help with how to set up your binding, please reach out to your onboarding specialist and they will be happy to assist.
In this example, I will not have bindings on this unchecked box and then click on the Add Block.
When you click on Add Block, it will add this new field to the bottom of the list. If you need to move this to a different spot on this tab page you can absolutely do that just by selecting the Drag and Drop icon right here.
And moving it up or down to your desired location.
Another new feature in this tool is now you can move this field to a new tab just by dragging and dropping it to the tab you want on the left-hand side here. For example, let's go and move our textbox to the Qualifications tab. And if you click on the Qualifications tab, Textbox 1 is now added to the bottom of the list.
Just like that, you can drag and drop this field anywhere (up down, or your desired location).
And like the tab pages training, you can set your visibility here just by clicking on the Eyeball icon. And also you can click on the Edit icon to edit this building block.
You know that it shows up on the right-hand side panel here. And you will see the sub-tabs at the top here.
So, you can make changes to your Settings, your Styles, as well as your Access and Flags. Once you are done adding your building blocks, simply click on the Save and Close button to make changes and save this to your master template.
This was a quick walkthrough on how to add a building block using the Job Template Editor. Please stay tuned for more videos and updates. Thanks!
