You will see a number of different options available to you in Essential Functions.
You can include a field indicating that This Job is Essential or Remote Work Capable. The field is turned off by default, but you can turn it on. If you decide to turn it on, you will also want to turn on the Remote Work Guidelines because this will appear by default if the job is remote work capable.
If you are one of our Enterprise customers, these rows are editable; if you are a basic or pro, they are not.
You will see the % TIME captured column here.
But if that job is remote capable, there will be an additional option.
If you are working with Essential Functions, you can select from a group of alternate formats to pick the one that’s best for you.
What you have in your template is our best practice form.
But for example, if you don't want to capture the percent of the time, just select a different layout--e.g., EssentialFunctions_NoPercentTime.
If you want to capture whether the jobs are exempt or non-exempt, you can choose a format that captures that as well. Select the one you like. Once you select one of these options, you will need to Save and Close to save this onto your template.
Back in Essential Functions, if you are a healthcare organization, you may want to capture patient care options. These are turned off by default, but if you would like to use them, feel free to turn them on and you can decide whether the job has Patient Care or No Patient Care and Select all that apply. This option is available for health care clients.
The Additional Responsibilities would typically contain functions that require less than five percent of time spent. Required for All Jobs is pretty much boilerplate information.
