Here you can navigate the system quickly and see at a glance any task messages in the status of all the job description workflows. The first icon you will see is My Messages. Here you can see all the messages that have been sent to you in the system. A little red dot will show up on the icon if you have any unread messages.
The second icon is your Settings icon.
This will show some basic information about you including your employee ID but also UI and entity settings.
Below this is the menu of functions available to you. You can open up the menu by clicking on any of the items and clicking to navigate to where you would like to go. Here you will also find Analytics where you can select either the Matrix or Career Ladders and view the different job descriptions side by side. Simply click on the job descriptions that you would like to view, click on selected jobs and then select side by side. Within the side-by-side view, you can highlight the differences and hide the identical rows. When viewing career ladders, you can select the job family and subfamily to view side by side. Or you can download these as an Excel document. You can also close this menu by clicking on the arrow at the top right.
At the bottom of the menu section, you will can see a Quick Tips area. Clicking on this will open up the quick tips. Clicking again will close them.
Now let's move over to the right side and take a look at the quick links section.
By clicking on any of the Quick Links, you can quickly navigate to where you need to be. Most of the time will be spent in JD Admin Job Management. This is where all of your job descriptions are stored. You can search or filter for your job descriptions to find exactly what you're looking for.
The next Quick Link is your Admin Tools. Here is where you can update your job families, change your logo, invite users into the system, manage your workflows and to check out the Email Center.
The Import Dashboard is where you can import job descriptions, reference bullet lists, employee records, job description bullet lists and choice lists. Job Exports allows you to export different reports and job descriptions based on your need. We have a few of these set up by default but you can also create your own report. The Add Job Quick Link allows you to add a new job description and start a new job description workflow. You can start with a blank job description or you can use a base job description for the workflow.
The Revised Job allows you to start a job description workflow for an existing job description. Here you will pick a job or multiple jobs and then select the workflow that you would like to use.
The Job Library looks a lot like the JD Admin Job Management, but here you can search and filter the job descriptions to view them, but not to edit them.
The Getting Started Quick Link is to help you quickly get started on your new system. Here you will find links to videos and articles that will help you get your information into the system quickly.
The Help Center is for additional resources to better understand the system and the Knowledge Base is our collection of all the articles that have been written for each aspect of JDX.
