The My Jobs icon here is probably one of the most used by the managers that use the JDxpert system.
When you click on it, it will display job descriptions of all employees reporting to you. If the job description is in bold, it means that the job description is in workflow and is undergoing revision.
If you're trying to view the job, it will ask what version you would like to view.
The Latest Revision Version shows you the changes that have been made during the current workflow and Base Version shows you the job description before it started the workflow or the last approved version of the job description.
Clicking on any other job description that is not in the workflow will open the job description in the form view but in read-only mode. If we select multiple job descriptions, you can view them side-by-side by clicking on the Side-By-Side button at the top-left of the grid.
When you view side-by-side, it will open all of your selected job descriptions in a side-by-side view.
To make it easier to compare these jobs, we have provided two options here at the top; Highlight Differences and Hide Identical Rows. This makes it very easy to compare the differences in the job descriptions that we have selected.
Please note that, if you have a smaller screen resolution for too many job descriptions selected when viewing side-by-side, you will need to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the page to scroll through them all. If you have a job or multiple jobs selected, you can click on the Workflow button at the top left of the grid. This will allow you to start a workflow on the selected job or jobs; and if you select a job description that is already in a workflow, you will have the option to view the workflow details associated with that job description. The Search area at the top of the page allows you to search using a text string by typing in what you were looking for or by using one of the pre-programmed filters to filter through the job descriptions for your employees.
The Org Chart on the top-right hand side will open up a dialog box that displays all employees reporting to you.
You can also view the managers in Select Manager to see your reports to them. To do so, just click on the drop-down and select the manager that you would like to view and the chart will update with that information.
Finally, we have the Export button that gives you two options: Export Grid which exports everything in the grid, and Export Jobs to Print, which will export all job descriptions that are in the grid to a printable format.
