Let us take a look at the My Employee icon in the Quick Links section.
Click on the My Employees and this will bring it up a list of direct employees reporting to you.
If you would like to see indirect employees also, you can toggle the switch title Direct Reports Only.
On the left-hand side, you will see three icons; the first is the Employee Details icon.
By clicking on this, it will bring up the employee details in a view-only mode.
You can click through the tabs to see the Job description and Manager, Flags and Options, Impersonations, Employee Roles, Base/Secondary Positions, and JDX Applications.
To get out of the Employee Details dialog box, click on the x icon at the top-right corner. The next iconyou will see is a View Job icon. If you click on this, you can View the Job, Preview the Job, View the Job as Employee, and Preview the Job as Employee.
By clicking on View Job, this will open up the job description in the form view.
You will not be able to edit the job description and all editing options are locked. To get back to My Employees, you just need to click on the x at the top-right corner. If you go back to the View Job icon and click on it, you can also Preview Job as Employee.
This brings up a preview pane of the job description in HTML.
Click on the x at the top-right corner to close out. Next, we have the Share icon.
With this, we can share a link to the job description so that the recipients can view the job description without having to log in to JDxpert.
You can set an Expiration Date. Once you've done so or decided to leave it blank, click Create Link to share this link with anyone.
Click on the x at the top-right corner to close out of this dialog box. To view the job descriptions as an employee, you can also use the tree view on the right-hand side.
Double click on the employee that you would like to view the job description for.
This will open up the job description in the form view like we just did using the icon in the Action column.
Moving to the top of the grid, you will see a button titled Job Tasks. If you click on this button, it will give you a drop-down with a few options.
If you would like to start a workflow, you can do so here if the functionality is enabled by your administrator.
If you have a job description that is in workflow and you click on the Job Tasks, you can view the Workflow Details.
This will show you the steps in the workflow that need to be completed.
Finally, we have Employees in Job.
This is going to show you a list of all the employees that have the job description of the employee that you have selected.
As you can see, we selected Barbara and she has a Manager Help Desk job description. This pulls up all the employees with the Manager Help Desk job description to see other job descriptions.
To view employee details for another employee, select a different employee with a different job description and then Employees in Job.
This displays the employee job details.
If you would like to search for a specific employee, type in their name or partial name into the Search box and click Enter.
Or you could use the Filters to filter through a list of employees that you would like to view. We have the Organization Chart where you can view your direct employees.
This displays your direct employees.
You can export this list of employees to Excel, or you can export the job descriptions of this list a printable format.
Next, we have reminders.
and if reminders have been set up by your administrator, you will be able to view the reminders for all of your employees.
If you have an employee selected and you click on the ellipsis (...) at the top-right, you can view the change history for that employee.
