You can replace the user interface keywords in the system.
Overview
This feature allows you to replace the standard JDXpert words with client-specified words. This can be configured in the Entity UI Keywords grid.
For example, “Job Standard” can be replaced with “Parent” throughout the system.
- Only system keywords can be replaced and not customized text (for example, job templates, tab names, labels, button text, and so on).
- Keywords of input data cannot be replaced (for example, job description, Essential Functions, FLSA, choice lists, job family lists, and so on).
- Entity UI keywords are case-insensitive.
- For example, in the View/Edit Job Description form, the following keywords can be replaced:
a. Save and Close button
b. Discard Draft button
c. Workflows button
d. Workflows button dropdown list
- Only standard alphabetical letters are supported for keyword replacements. Special characters, such as ‘&', ‘@', and '*’, are not supported.
- If you want to replace the "workflow" word, the replacement overrides the instances of "workflow" in these fields. All other instances can be modified in the master template (advanced template design).
- For example, replace the keywords "Job Family" throughout the system. The instances of "Job Family" (Job Select form, Job Management, Job Family tab, etc.) overrides the value in place of "Job Family" in places where the text cannot be modified.
