You can edit and customize the reference statements used in the job description. These statements are used in the Competencies section of the job description.
To view the reference statements in the job descriptions
Reference statements are used in the job descriptions similar to reference bullet lists.
1. Navigate to the Job Management screen.
2. Use the search and filter options to find the desired jobs.
3. Double-click a job for which you wish to view the reference text.
This displays the View/Edit screen:
4. Click the Edit toggle to turn on the edit mode.
5. Click the Competencies tab.
The reference text is displayed as shown in the following figure:
6. Click Competencies.
This displays the list of competencies in the following screen:
To edit the reference statements
1. Navigate to the Admin Tools tab.
2. Click the Data Management node and select Reference Statements.
This displays the following screen:
This screen contains the following elements:
- Toolbar – Contains the action buttons
- Search and Filter Options – Contains the search and filter options
- Reference Text List – Contains the list of reference text.
3. Select the reference statement which you wish to edit and click Edit.
This displays the following screen:
4. Update the reference statement as per your requirement:
5. Select the type of statement (of the reference text) in the Type of Statement list.
In this screen, the selected reference statement type (Self Essentials) is not listed.
The Type of Statement list does not display the complete list of statement types as shown in the following figure:
6. Click Cancel and Close.
This closes the screen without updating the statement.
To add the type of statements
1. Click the Settings icon and select Reference Statement Settings.
This displays the following screen:
2. Select the Reference Statement Settings – Type of Statement node.
3. Click More in the ChoiceList_TypeOfStatement property as shown:
This displays the following screen:
This screen displays the existing types:
4. Click Add.
This displays the following screen:
5. Enter the type in the Item Value box.
6. Enter the type in the Item Display Value box.
7. Click Save and Close.
This adds the type to the list as shown:
8. Click Save and Close.
This populates the details in the ChoiceList_TypeOfStatement property as shown:
9. Click Save and Close.
This displays the following message:
10. Click OK.
To edit the reference statements (Contd.)
1. Edit and update the same statement as mentioned in the previous section.
This displays the following screen:
The Type of Statement list displays the appropriate type of statement as shown:
2. Click Save and Close.
This updates the reference statement as shown in the following figure:
