You can view the parent/child of a job and define job relationships in this tab.

To view the Parent/Child tab

You need to configure the settings in Job Management to view the Parent/Child tab

1. Navigate to the Admin tools and select Job Descriptions Management.

2. Select a job and expand the right pane.

The Parent/Child tab may not be visible.

3. Click More, point to Configure and select Edit Authorization Settings File.

This displays the following screen:

4. Click the Child Jobs node and select CJ_ViewChildJobsTabPage.

5. Set the CJ_ViewChildJobsTabPage property to True.

6. Click Save and Close.

This displays this message.

7. Click OK.

The Parent/Child tab is displayed in the right pane as shown:

To view a parent job

1. Navigate to the Job Management tab.

2. Use the search and filter options to find the desired jobs.

Use the "Parent Jobs" filter to quickly retrieve a list of parent jobs.

3. Select a parent job in the list and click Parent/Child in the right pane.

This displays the Parent/Child pane.

For a parent job, the Parent/Child pane includes the following elements:

Child Job Grid – Displays the child jobs
- Action buttons – To view or edit the child job or edit its properties
Cascade to Children button – To view the Cascade Parent to Children screen
Edit Settings button – To view the Set Parent/Child Flags screen for the parent job

This displays the parent job in the Parent/Child pane.

For a child job, the Parent/Child pane includes the following elements:

Parent Job Details – Displays the name of the parent job
Inherited Data Grid – Displays the data elements inherited from the parent job, defined in the Parent/Child Settings file
Cascade to Children button – To view the Cascade Parent to Children screen
Compare to Parent button – To view the Compare Jobs screen
Edit Settings button – To view the Set Parent/Child Flags screen for the child job
