You can access jobs that are pending for approval from various areas of the system. Alternatively, the first participant (approver) also receives a notification in the system or email for approving the job.
To approve the job
1. Click the following link in your email:
This displays the following screen:
The jobs pending workflow approval can be accessed from various areas of the system. For further information, refer to the article, “Viewing Jobs in Workflows.”
2. Click Instructions.
This displays the instructions in the following screen:
3. Click Close to close the screen.
4. Click Review Job(s).
This displays the job in the View/Edit screen:
Or
a. Logon to the system with your credentials.
b. Click the following notification:
The Tasks section displays all notifications of workflows for your review.
This displays the job in the View/Edit screen:
5. Click Edit to turn on the toggle.
6. Make the necessary changes and click Save.
7. Click the following icon on the workflow toolbar.
This displays the following screen:
8. Select the Send e-mail to the next step approver(s) check box if you wish to send an email to the next participant.
9. In the Comments box, enter a message.
10. Click Preview E-mail to view the email that will be sent with the comments
11. Select the Send courtesy e-mail to other participants check box, if you wish to send an email to other participants in the workflow.
12. In the Comments box, enter a message.
13. Click Preview E-mail to view the email that will be sent with the comments
14. In the Courtesy E-mail CC box, specify other email addresses that you wish to receive emails (if required).
15. Click Approve Step.
This displays the Accept Agreement dialog box:
You need to accept the agreement if there are validation errors in the job description.
16. Select the I understand there are validation errors in this Job Description check box and click Ok.
This displays the approval message:
17. Click Ok to close the message.
This displays the following message:
18. Click Ok.
This terminates your login session and displays the following message:
19. Close the browser.
Troubleshooting Missing Toolbar Buttons
If any of these buttons are not available on the workflow toolbar, then refer to the article for further steps, “Turning On and Off the Workflow Toolbar Buttons.”
