You can integrate the Mercer Skills library into the job descriptions.
Overview
Mercer offers an extensive compensation directory, widely utilized by clients to benchmark jobs against various salary bands. They have strategically aligned the compensation grades and bands with a comprehensive skills taxonomy to accurately match jobs to their respective grades and bands based on required skills.
Mercer Skills Library is a carefully checked, well-organized, and trusted collection of skills.
For example, a "communications" skill required at a Mercer level M1 (e.g., Manager level 1) is distinctly defined and differentiated from a "communications" skill required at an E2 level (e.g., Executive level 2), reflecting varying levels of proficiency and complexity. Furthermore, the library includes a "Foundational Skills" list. These are general skills present in approximately 75% of most jobs. These foundational skills are either already excluded from job-specific skill profiles within the main Mercer Library or will be, as they are now consolidated into their own separate, dedicated list.
