You can broadcast a message to all users who are logged on to the system.
To broadcast a message in the system
1. On the Advanced Tools menu, click Admin Tools.
This displays the Admin Tools tab:
2. Click the Activity and Notifications node in the left pane, and click Set System-wide Broadcast
message.
This displays the following screen:
3. Enter the message id in the Message ID box.
You can assign any number for the message. This ID is only used if you want to update or add a new message. It is also used to check if the message is displayed on the system.
4. Enter the details in the following boxes:
- Start Date/Time – Start time of the broadcast message
- Expiration Date/Time – End time of the broadcast message
5. Enter the message in the Message To Display box:
6. Click Add/Update Message to add this message.
This displays the following message:
7. Click Yes.
This displays the confirmation message:
8. Click Ok.
9. Enter the time interval in the Broadcast Timer Interval box.
The message is sent after the specified time interval to all users who are logged on to JDXpert.
For example, if you add this message at 10.00 AM and define the time interval as 60 seconds. Users who have logged in before 10.00 AM will receive this message instantly and this message will be sent after every 60 seconds to the newly logged on users.
