You can troubleshoot errors while adding independent jobs in Job Library.
To add independent jobs in Job Library
1. Navigate to the Job Library tab.
2. Click Add Job.
This displays the following screen:
3. Click Blank Job.
This displays the following dialog box:
4. Select the Flag as New check box.
5. Click Save and Close.
This may display the following error message:
6. Click OK.
To resolve this error
1. Right-click the Job Library icon and select Edit Auth Settings.
This displays the following screen:
2. Click Edit.
This displays the following screen:
3. Expand the User Allowed Actions for Jobs node.
4. Set the following properties to True:
- AddNewJobAllowed_Child
- AddNewJobAllowed_Independent
- AddNewJobAllowed_Parent
Also, check for other properties depending on the error message. For example, if there is an error message “Independent jobs are not authorized for editing," Check these properties:
- EditJobAllowed_Parent
- EditJobAllowed_Independent
- EditJobAllowed_Child
5. Click Save and Close.
6. Click Select and Close Form.
7. Repeat the steps given in the previous section and it adds the new job.
Error while adding participants in workflow
Issue: When the logged in manager, try to add participants in the workflow using Start Express workflow, displays the following error:
Resolution:
Set the AllowSettingofWFParticipants (in Job Library) to True.
